Water treatment Plant - Water supply from the Pinios reservoir (EIA 168):

This study constitutes the EIpAS of the water supply from Pinios reservoir to meet the needs of settlements in Ilia Prefecture. The project involves the construction of a water treatment plant (of processing capacity 42,509 m3/d), external aqueduct (of a total length of 120Km), 5 pump stations and 2 new water storage tanks.  The 40year horizon of the served population is 141.655 inhabitants. The environmental impacts caused by the project were examined and appropriate measures in order to tackle these effects were suggested..

Upgrading the North Road Axis of Crete (NRAC) into a motorway. (EIAS 169)

Upgrading the North Road Axis of Crete (NRAC) into a motorway. Section: Panormos - Linoperamata (EIAS 169):

This study constitutes the EIpAS of the construction and operation of the road section Panormos-Linoperamata in the framework of the refurbishment and upgrade of the NRAC into to Motorway.

The North Road Axis is the main road connecting Crete and it crosses the entire northern part of the island from Kissamos in the western edge to Sitia in the eastern one. The road section under study is located between Rethymnon and Heraklion and serves the supra-local traffic between Western and Eastern Crete.

The road section serves also Heraklion that is the largest city and the metropolitan center of the island. The under study section has a length of about 50Km and generally lies on the boundary of the coastal zone in a rural area except for the parts adjoining settlements such as Panormos, Skepasti, Bali, Sisses, Fodele and of course the suburban and urban area of Heraklion.

Storm water drainage network in the Municipality of New Erithrea (EIAS 170)

Storm water drainage network in the Municipality of New Erithrea (EIAS 170):

This study constitutes the EIpAS of the storm water drainage network in the City of New Erithrea. The aim of this project is the safe drainage of the rainwater in specific areas of the Municipality of New Erithrea to the final receiver that is is the Kifissos River. The project includes a pipeline network with total length of 14,5 Km and 1100 manholes and gullies.

Regulation of Agios Georgios Stream and its tributaries (EIAS 171)

Regulation of Agios Georgios Stream and its tributaries (Stream of Mavri Ora and stream of Refineries) in Thriasio, Attica  (EIAS 171):

This study constitutes the EIAS for the renewal and expansion of the existing environmental terms of the aforementioned Project due to differentiations from the original design. The Agios Georgios stream is regulated for a total length of 1,8Km, the stream of Refineries for a total length of 0,2Km, Mavri Ora stream for a total length 0,6Km and the common section of Mavri Ora and Refineries’ stream  for a total length 0,3Km The project is located in in  Aspropyrgos Municipality, Attica and aims to the flood protection of the significant infrastructure of the area (railway network, national road, refineries and other industrial installations).

Bypass Road of Panormos settlement (EIAS 172)

Bypass Road of Panormos settlement (EIAS 172):

This study constitutes the EIAS of the construction and operation of the Bypass road of Panormos settlement in Tinos island. The under stydy road has a total  of length of 1,5 km approximately.

 

In the study, the environmental impacts and the alternative solutions for the progress of the project were examined and evaluated and finally the best solution from an environmental standpoint was proposed in addition to appropriate measures in order to tackle these effects.

Construction of pedestrian walkway along the Porto Rafti coastal road (TES 110 & EIAS 174)

Construction of pedestrian walkway along the Porto Rafti coastal road (TES 110 & EIAS 174):

This study constitutes the EIAS of the construction of a pedestrian walkway, 300 m long and  3.0 m wide, along the coastal road of Porto Rafti. The walkway will be constructed on the side of the sea on an overhanging wooden platform.

In the study, the environmental impacts that may occur in natural and man-made environment of the area during the construction and operation of the project, were examined and evaluated and appropriate measures in order to tackle these effects were suggested.
