Construction and operation of the Thessaloniki Outer Ring Road, from Chortiatis Interchange to the New and Existing Nationals Roads "Thessaloniki - Galatista - Poligiros' (EIA 335):

This is one of more than 10 studies implemented in the framework of a Framework Agreement with Egnatia Odos S.A This particular study concerns the construction and operation of the road section 59.4.3 i.e a highway of a total length of 11,6 km, excluding the airport connection section with a total length of 3,2 km and Thermi - N. Redestos connection of 2,5 km. The width of the highway is 21,5 m. The structures along the alignment include 4 bridges of total length 861m, 4 twin tunnels with a total length of 2,4Km and 2 Cut & Covers with a total length of 360m as well as 3 intersections. The study assessed the environmental impacts of the construction and operation of the project and proposed appropriate mitigation measures.

This is the EIA Study for the construction and operation of a new road network of 17,4km.

 

The width of the carriageway is 25m, while the structures along the alignment, include: one bridge of 290m in length, 4 twin tunnels with a total length of 2.370m and 1 Cut & Cover of 780m length. It is also planned the construction of 4 interchanges on the artery and the remodeling of an existing one.

Study for the improvement of road infrastructure of Karystia Province of Evia Prefecture: (EIA 331):

This is the EIA Study for the improvement of an existing road network and of the current safety levels. The total length of the road network under study amounts to 24 Km, while the length under interventions amounts to 17,4 km.

 

The project under consideration is within the network Natura 2000 sites with codes GR2420001 (SCI & SAC) and GR2420012 (SPA). For this reason a specific ecological assessment was also drafted as part of the EIA.

Environmental Impact Assessment Study of Vrysi stream canalization in Monemvasia Municipality (EIA 330):

The canalization works involve the formulation of an open trapezoidal cross section with lined gabions for a total length of 110m. The proposed works are adequate to convey a flood peak of Q = 10,8 m3 / s corresponding to a return period of 50 years. The catchment area of the stream amounts to approximately 0,5 km2.

Environmental Study of Spartines port (EIA 328):

This is the EIA Study for the construction and operation of the new port of Alonissos island, in the Spartines bay. The total length of the quays is 640m and of the windward jetty is 288m. The area of the terrestrial part of the port is 24.473m2. The harbor will serve 3 coastal shipping vessels (one with 150m length, one with 120m length and one speedboat). Inside the port area a fishing shelter will be located with an area of 3.770m2, having 28 binding sites vessels of up to 15m in length.

The works include the formulation of an uncoated open earthen cross section for a total length of 1,3Km.

The proposed works are adequate to convey a flood peak of Q = 5m3/s corresponding to a return period of 50 years.
