Improving the west entrance of Xanthi, one section of the old national road no. 2 from Petrochori to the entrance of Xanthi (Intersection with the existing ring road) "(EIA 343)

The project involves the national road no. 2 (Kavala-Toxotes-Xanthi-Porto Lagos) in the section , from Petrochori village up to the entrance of the city of Xanthi. The length of the studied section is 3,7km and the interventions are related to the modification of existing double- lane road to a dual carriageway, with a median strip.. The design includes the creation of four roundabouts and a network of side roads to serve the roadside properties. With this arrangement the local and non-local movements are separated and the road safety to road users, increases.

Study of Saint John Dam and basic irrigation water utilization projects in Ierapetra Pref. of Lasithi (EIA 342)

The project aims to capture the runoff of the catchment area and strengthen it with excess water of Psihro sources, at Thripti Mountains, that today are lost unexploited, with the ultimate aim of strengthening the irrigation region of Ag. Ioannis and Koutsounari and Ferma settlements, of the Municipality of Ierapetra, with a total area of 8,600 ha.

CONNECTING THESSALONIKI EXTERNAL RING ROAD WITH "MACEDONIA" AIRPORT AND THE LOCAL NETWORK (Section 59.4.4). (EIA 341)

This is the EIA of the project of construction and operation of the road section connecting Thessaloniki’s External Ring Road with "Macedonia" airport and the local road network.

Water supply, for, Komotini Steam-Electric Station from the Gratini Dam in Rodopi (EIA 339)

In this EIS, the operation of dam Gratini, which lies on Amygdalorema stream, just about 1,5Km from the village of Gratini, was environmentally evaluated. The purpose of the dam is to raise the required amount of water to cover the power unit cooling needs of the Komotini SES, operated by PPC. The SES is located in the Industrial Area of Komotini. The water supply of SES from the dam, is through an appropriate  pipeline  which was also environmentally assessed.

"Study of Prespes Irrigation Network" (EIA 338)

This EIS is related to the implementation of drip irrigation through construction of a new closed pressurized irrigation system in replacement of the existing open network of canals in the area east of Little Lake Prespa. In these areas, land consolidation procedures and constructions of rural roads have been completed.

The total mixed irrigated area is 16 849 hectares. The total length of irrigation network is 109.026m, the total flow of the two (2) pumping stations which have been planned is 1.259,25 l/s. An “Appropriate Ecological Study” has been prepared as part of this EIS

Wells and water supply system of Megalopolis A & B thermal power plants (TPP) (EIA 336)

This is the EIS of 12 wells and the water supply system(tanks, pipelines, etc.) that supply the two TPP of Megalopolis A & B with the necessary quantities of water. The 12 wells have a mean depth of 85-154m, with most ranging in depths of 130-150m. All the wells exploit the karst aquifer in the area. Based on ET of the two SES, thte total maximum amounts of water required for their operation is 27,47x106 m3 annually. After the closure of units | and || of TPP Megalopolis A the required maximum quantities will be reduced significantly to 20 x106 m3. The project includes all the existing water pipelines from the wells to the TPP Megalopolis A and B.
