The Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment examines the Program including three (3) Stages of hydrocarbon exploration and production, according to the legislation in force as well as the international standard practice, that is the Exploration, Development and Production and Decommission of infrastructure as well as the site restoration. The study area is located within the marine areas southwest and west Crete, of total area approximately 40.000 km2 (20.058 and 19.868 for the Western block and South West block respectively).

STRATEGIC ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT OF THE AREA OF ORGANISED DEVELOPMENT FOR AQUACULTURE IN THERMAIC GULF

Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment examines the plan related with the characterization and delimitation of the Area of Organised Development for Aquaculture in Thermaic Gulf, including 4 zones of a total area of 31 thousand sq. km. The scope of this plan is the sustainable and competitive financial development of the Aquaculture sector in the area, in combination with the traditional and modern business activities and standards and promoting methods compatible with the environment and setting limits to the development in order to minimize environmental impacts. These 4 zones which will constitute the Area of Organised Development for Aquaculture in Thermaic Gulf, are located between the mouth of the river Aksios, within the limits of the Regional Entity of Thessaloniki, Imathia and the Regional Entity of Macedonia and more specifically in the Municipalities of Delta, Thermaic and Alexandria.

Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment for the 1st revision of the RBMP of Crete River Water Basin (RWB)[EL 13]. (SEA 19).The SEA is referred to the RBMP of the Crete according to the specifications of the Directive 2000/60/EC, in accordance with the law 3199/2003 and Presidential Decree 51/2007 (1st revision)

Aim of the Management Plan is preventing the further deterioration, the protection and improvement of internal surface, transitional, coastal and underground waters and the directly depended from them terrestrial ecosystems and wetlands. In order to achieve this purpose, is required the implementation of the Program of Basic and Complementary Measurers provided for in the management plan, as finally adopted following the consultation process. Responsible bodies for the implementation of the Program of Measures are the competent Directorate of Waters of the Decentralized Administration and the relevant departments of the respective Regional Units.

The content of the Management Plans is described in detail in Article 13 and Annex VII of Directive 2000/60 / EC (Article 10 and Annex VII of Presidential Decree 51/2007) and includes the recording - updating of all stages of implementation of Directive 2000/60 / EC (Articles 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11, 14 etc.).

Environmental Impact Assessment Study of application of consolidation measures in an irrigated area in Paphos (Polemi Community) according to Law 102 (I) of 2005 (SEA 17)

 

This study concerns the assessment of the environmental effects of the implementation of measures for land consolidation implemented by the Consolidation department (DC) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment of Cyprus, in Polemi, Paphos.

Polemi is around the 13km northeast of the city of Paphos. This consolidation area is about 150 ha, located south of the village of Polemi on both sides of Polemi – Kallepeia road.
