This study constitutes the EIpAS of the construction and operation of the works for the improvement of water supply adequacy of settlements in the Prefectures of Preveza, Arta, Aetoloakarnania and Lefkada. The works will serve a total population of 256764 (permanent and tourists of year 2041). The water originates from the spring of Agios Georgios, within the catchment area of Louros river. The project involves replacement of existing transfer pipelines of 97Km length, reconstruction of the existing works for water collection in the area of the spring, upgrading existing water storage tanks and replacement of an existing pumping station.  In the study, the environmental impacts of the project were examined and evaluated and appropriate measures in order to tackle these effects were suggested.
